1. Parts and Accessories

A complete reference for every piece of hardware that can go with an ISURLOG β€” the unit itself, mounting/enclosure, antennas, batteries, external/solar power, and connectivity. For each item: what you can get directly from Isurki, and what you can source yourself if you'd rather buy or already have it.

1.3 Antennas

Both use a U.FL connector on the PCB. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth don't need an external antenna β€” they use the one integrated directly on the PCB. See 3. Communications for the full connection requirements.

External-Mount Antennas (Higher Gain / Remote Mounting)

If a higher-gain external antenna is needed, the antennas above β€” which mount directly on the PCB's U.FL connector β€” aren't the right fit. A pigtail brings the connection out to an external, cable-mounted antenna instead.

Breaks the IP66 Seal

Mounting the antenna outside the 3D-printed enclosure means drilling a hole through it for the pigtail β€” this breaks its IP66 rating unless the passthrough is properly sealed (e.g. with a cable gland or a panel-mount SMA bulkhead connector and gasket).

1.4 Batteries

1.5 External / Solar Power (Hybrid Mode)

For deployments combining batteries with an external charging source. The MPPC input accepts one of three voltage ranges β€” see 2.2 Jumper Configuration for the required jumper settings.

Regulated 5V Required

Many panels labeled "5V" actually reach up to 7V in open-circuit conditions (i.e. with nothing connected, or under low load), which can damage the ISURLOG's input. Only use a panel with an internal regulator that keeps its output stable and never exceeds 5.5V, even unloaded.

1.6 External Power (Mains)

For deployments powered from mains/external power rather than batteries alone β€” see 2.1.2 External Power Only. Power comes in either via the USB-C port, or via the PIN pressure terminals. Batteries can still be installed alongside external power as a backup for outages β€” see 2.1.3 Batteries + External Power (Hybrid Mode).

Cut the Micro-USB end open and identify the two power wires inside β€” the data wires aren't needed. Connect the positive and negative power wires directly to the ISURLOG's PIN 5V MAX pressure terminals.

1.7 Connectivity
